About RV University, Bangalore:
RV University, Bangalore is a state private university established in 2019 as an initiative by the nationally-recognized RV Educational Institutions (RVEI). The RVEI in-turn is governed by the Rashtreeya Sikshana Samhiti Trust (RSST). The university is recognized by the Government of Karnataka, the University Grants Commission and the Bar Council of India. The RSST is the university’s sponsoring body through the Karnataka legislature’s Act No. 11 of 2019.
RVU, Bangalore’s motto is “Excellence in Education with Societal Commitment”. Since its inception, RV University has established over 20 institutions, ranging from kindergarten to post-graduation. It provides access to affordable education in various fields to different socio-economic strata. The university boasts more than 20,000 students enrolled across all its institutions.

RV University, Bangalore strives to be a diverse and inclusive university through international recognition and collaborations. It conducts joint research programs, academic assistance, exchanges and more. Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between RV University, Bangalore and University of Nicosia, Cyprus in November 2023. RV University Bangalore provides students numerous facilities for several extracurricular activities. Through these activities, the university encourages students to pursue their interests in sports, film, design and various other fields. In its 50+ acre campus, RV University, Bangalore offers sporting facilities for its students. Students can opt from a variety of sports which are facilitated through spacious fields for cricket, football and hockey, as well as indoor and outdoor courts for Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis and Badminton. The facility also houses a gymnasium for fitness enthusiasts. RV University Bangalore hosts various events where students can immensely participate in. Among these events include TIFA (Teen Indie Film Awards), founded in 2022. At TIFA, students and young filmmakers get to have their works in film recognized and awarded by the jury of film experts. TIFA has had over 300 films by more that 100 filmmakers from 30+ countries, reflecting RVU’s value of diversity and inclusivity. TIFA has collaborated with Hombale Films, a prominent movie studio in the Kannada film industry. Another event is Newave, a design festival hosted in 2023 by the School of Design and Innovation that lets students participate in paper presentations with different themes, where design research enthusiasts can showcase their talent and creativity. Ellipsis is another event which invites design students to explore the relationship between humanity and AI under this year’s theme of “For, With and Against AI”. The exhibition aims to explore the impact of AI on human creativity, innovation, and ethics. RV University Bangalore facilitates skill building opportunities through several guest lecture events. These events feature guests who are experts in various fields, invited to provide informative input to students outside the classroom. Some of these events have brought in international guests to expose students to the global scope of the event’s subject matter. These guest lecture events encompass several topics such as civics, criminology, science, business, environment and more. Some of these events include the International Conference on Global Criminology and Victimology 2024, which featured guest speakers from around the world who discussed the revitalization of criminology and victimology to reinforce them as strong disciplines in Indian society. Another event is Digital Pedagogies in Design Education, which explores the impact of technological advancements on traditional pedagogical classrooms.
