COMEDK UGET 2026 (Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka Undergraduate Entrance Test) is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK). The exam is organised to facilitate admissions to undergraduate engineering and architecture programmes offered by private unaided colleges across Karnataka.
Established during the academic year 2004–2005, COMEDK functions as an autonomous body that ensures a transparent, fair, and merit-based admission process for participating institutions. Through the Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET), it evaluates candidates for admission into various professional courses in Karnataka’s private colleges.
For the academic session 2026–2027, more than 200 private colleges in Karnataka are expected to accept COMEDK UGET scores for admissions, primarily for undergraduate engineering programmes, along with architecture courses through separate eligibility requirements.
COMEDK UGET is conducted once a year in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across multiple cities in India. The exam consists of 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with 60 questions in each section. The total duration of the test is 3 hours (180 minutes), and the paper is conducted in English only.
The COMEDK UGET 2026 examination is scheduled to be held on 9 May 2026, and candidates who qualify will be eligible to participate in the centralized counselling process for admission to participating institutions in Karnataka. The score obtained in COMEDK UGET is valid for one academic year for admissions to participating colleges.
