Steps to Register for CLAT 2025:

Step 1: Visit the official website of the CLAT 2025.

Step 2: Log in to the CLAT account by entering the ‘Mobile Number’ and ‘Password’.

Step 3: Click on the ‘Update NLU Preference’ button which will be visible on the screen and update the NLU preferences as needed.

Step 4: Candidates are advised to view the different programmes and seat matrix by reviewing the NLUs brochure available on the ‘Participating Universities’ page.

Step 5: Candidates must provide a minimum of 15 preferences.

Step 6:  After selecting the preferences, click on the ‘Make Payment’ button that will be displayed only if the candidate has been selected for the Admission Counselling Process.

Step 7: Complete the registration by paying the counselling registration fee and wait for the ‘Payment Successful’ message.

Note: Candidates can make payments only after logging in to the CLAT 2025 portal on the Consortium website. The counselling registration fee is refundable. Candidates are encouraged not to wait until the last minute to avoid any payment-related issues. Requests for payments past the registration deadline will not be considered. Only those candidates who have completed their counselling registration process for the admission counselling process shall be considered for seat allocation. Additionally, completing the registration process for the admission counselling process does not guarantee admission to any of the NLUs.
