New Horizon International School (NHIS), Bangalore, is the latest educational institution established by the New Horizon Educational Institutions (NHEI) group. Since its inception in 2022, NHIS has believed in transforming students into global talents. NHIS is affiliated with two boards of education. These boards play a primary role in formulating the New Horizon International School’s academic curriculum.

1. Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE)

The Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) Board utilises efficient teaching methods to provide students with a diverse range of subjects to choose from, thus allowing flexibility and independence in the academic field. The board also encourages teachers to implement world-class pedagogical methods, combining theoretical and practical approaches to ignite every student’s educational and non-academic prowess.

2. Hybrid Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE):

The Hybrid Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) framework is exclusively curated for NHIS. Under this framework, the school combines the CBSE syllabus with global teaching strategies to help students scale incredible heights in their academic path. Furthermore, NHIS’s Hybrid CBSE curriculum is equipped with a student-centric approach designed to meet the creative and innovative demands of the 21st century, empowering students to become global creators and innovators.

Levels of Academia:

The academic domain of NHIS has three divisions: Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary:

1. Pre-primary division (LKG & UKG)

The pre-primary division takes a holistic approach by using modernised classrooms to create a learning-friendly environment. The faculty of the Pre-primary division also focuses on paying individual attention to every kindergarten student, emphasising the students' initial development while assessing their learning abilities.

2. Primary division (Classes I to V) 

In this intermediate division, teachers are instructed to emphasise the importance of developing skills such as creativity and imagination and interpersonal skills (verbal and written). Each class under this division can accommodate 25 - 30 students. The general curriculum under this division is blended with co-curricular activities such as music, dance, art, yoga, and sports. In addition, the teaching methodologies include one-on-one sessions between the teachers and students to enable a strong foundation for exploring their academic and extra-curricular interests.

3. Secondary division (Classes VI to X) 

The classes under the secondary division of NHIS are further classified into Junior Secondary and Upper Secondary levels of education. The Junior Secondary level consists of courses from grades VI to VIII. Upper secondary consists of grades XI and X. The curriculum for both these levels of education is in accordance with the CAIE and Hybrid CBSE boards. The teachers of this division focus on aiding students to develop essential skill sets, a desire to achieve excellence and a general awareness of the challenges that lie ahead in the outside world. Additionally, students are motivated to have discussions with teachers who provide counselling and guidance when it comes to making the right career choice.

• Mini Theatre

The facility is equipped with modern technologies to offer education through visual stimulation.

• Science Park:

• Laboratories:

Students who wish to use the NHIS transportation facilities are offered air-conditioned school buses with CCTV cameras and a location tracking system.

In addition to the above, NHIS is also equipped with a Library that houses over 1,000 books of various genres, a Daycare centre, and a Children’s Play Area to keep the kids engaged in fun activities.

New Horizon International School Fee Structure:

The New Horizon International School tuition fees can be paid in two instalments. The annual tuition fee covers the expenditure of books, learning kits, stationary items, and three field trips per academic year. However, the expenditure on school uniforms, shoes, afternoon meals, and transportation will not be included in the tuition fees.
