New Horizon Gurukul (NHG) is a well-established school in Bangalore that has earned its reputation due to its strong focus on character development and the comprehensive personality growth of its students every year. The New Horizon Gurukul curriculum emphasises integrating the traditional ‘Gurukul’ teachings with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) framework to achieve academic success along with nurturing students into making valuable contributions to the progress of a nation. The school views the ultimate goal of offering education to any child is to ensure comprehensive development in all skills and areas from the early stages of their academic life. Therefore, the school has classified its academic platform into three divisions. They are Primary, Secondary, and Senior Secondary divisions.
Primary Division:
The Primary division consists of classes from I to V. It focuses on creating a student-friendly environment while introducing students to the basics of various lingual and core subjects such as English, Mathematics, etc. This is done to make sure children enjoy the learning process while gaining adequate knowledge. At NHG, students are encouraged to develop their communication and interpersonal skills from the Primary level. This is made possible by organising pair discussions, group discussions and storytelling sessions. There are also frequent library sessions that students can utilise thoroughly to develop their reading skills.
The Primary division also consists of a ‘ValuePlus’ programme. This educational programme is designed to combine the fundamental teachings of the Bhagavad Gita with the CBSE curriculum to offer age-appropriate value-based education to students from grade I to V. These values are derived from the book's universal, cultural, personal, and spiritual aspects to nurture the students' overall development.

NHG School takes pride in providing excellent education at the Secondary level. Classes VI to X come under the Secondary division. In this division, teachers use effective student-centric teaching methods such as Project-Based Learning (PBL) to help children understand concepts in various subjects. Moreover, the faculty of New Horizon Gurukul employs a Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation System to evaluate students' academic progress.
NHG also teaches a ‘ValuePlus’ educational course that emphasises integrating the principles of the Bhagavad Gita with the modern CBSE board curriculum. The course is structured to be age-specific. For grades XI and X, it is designed to help students understand the parallels between Science and spirituality and how both can coexist.

New Horizon Gurukul has classified grades XI and XII under the Senior Secondary division. In this division, the curriculum taught is done through superior pedagogical methodologies, thus nurturing students to obtain a clearer understanding of the various lingual and core subjects. Furthermore, the subjects are classified into two combinations. The first combination consists of subjects related to Science, the second combination consists of subjects related to Commerce. However, in both these combinations, English, Mathematics, Psychology and Physical Education remain common.
