New Horizon Public School Academics:

New Horizon Public School follows the ICSE curriculum. The academic aspect of the school consists of 4 divisions. Namely, Playschool, Pre-Primary Division, Primary Division, and Secondary Division. 

Playschool:

The Playschool of NHPS encourages children to develop their intellectual, social, physical and emotional skills by inculcating lessons on letters, sounds, colours, objects, numbers, counting, cutting and drawing activities in the playschool curriculum.


Pre-Primary Division:

Nursery, LKG, and UKG make up New Horizon Public School's Pre-primary division. The teachers in this division teach students to learn different elemental lessons through self-exploration activities. The grades in this division follow a play-based, child-centred curriculum that acknowledges each student's unique intelligence and fosters creativity. The curriculum under this division is segregated based on the level of education. In other words, the curriculum for nursery children includes Basic Numeracy, Basic Literacy and EVS. Whereas, the curriculum for LKG and UKG students comprises English, Mathematics, EVS and Hindi/ Kannada subjects. Furthermore, students can use a smart board that’s installed in every pre-primary division classroom to make learning more engaging and enjoyable. 


Primary Division:

Classes I, II, III, IV and V make up the school’s Primary division. Kids can choose from a variety of activities in these grades. Some of these activities involve conversations in groups and pairs that are held to improve the children’s language skills. The children under these grades are nurtured to speak out, analyse, and discuss their points of view under the guidance of a teacher to enable interpersonal skills. They are even provided with an opportunity to travel to different places as part of the learning curvature. Additionally, story-telling sessions are held to let children explore their creativity.

Secondary Division:

Classes VI to X come under the Secondary division of the school. Therefore, aiding in the intellectual growth of students whilst prioritising discipline in general. New Horizon Public School’s campus is filled with useful facilities for students like spacious and well-ventilated classrooms, an aesthetically pleasing library, well-equipped science labs, ATAL Tinkering Lab (ATL), an indoor sports room, an air-conditioned auditorium with comfortable seating and a cafeteria that offers nutritious meals regularly.


The ATAL Tinkering Lab at NHPS is a place where students can spark innovation by learning about different concepts of Robotics and Computer Programming. As the name suggests, students can use the ATL to explore and work on projects related to building simple robots and automation.


Apart from the science labs and the ATL, NHPS also has a dedicated skill enhancement lab where students can practise and improve essential life skills. Self-learning of life skills motivates kids to be disciplined and self-reliant. Along with this, NHPS has two modern Computer labs with Internet access and networked computers to provide hands-on experience concerning information and technology.


The health and safety of children are one of the top priorities of NHPS.
